Damp Proofing
Johannesburg had a particularly wet summer in 2013/2014 and that has seen CiviTron inundated with calls to tend to rising damp and in a few instances mould. Most people have experienced rising damp in their home but most people do not know why it occurs and therefore it is often too difficult to repair for the avid DIYer to do over the weekend. Damp occurs for two reasons: poor workmanship during the initial building of the structure and/or the use of inferior products.
